Jean Kathleen "Jena" Loomis

The Spika family is sad to announce the peaceful passing of Jean (Jena) Kathleen Loomis after a 13 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Jena, beloved mother and loving grandmother, was born in the state of New York on February 1st, 1948 and died, at age 73, on November 13th, 2021 at her home in Twenty-Nine Palms, CA, with her daughter by her side. She is survived by her only child, Chelsea Loomis Spika, and her two granddaughters. A woman with many talents, Jena was a gifted artist, mosaic fanatic, and eloquent writer. She has always been highly connected with the universe, and a true co-creator to her life here on Earth. Amongst her friends and family, Jena was known for her unique and fun-loving spirit, witty sense of humor, generosity, support, wisdom, and unwavering love for life, nature, spirit, and love for her daughter. We will be celebrating her life privately (although we hope you will join us on your own) on Monday, November 22nd between 2 and 3pm PST as she passes through her Aquamation (water cremation) journey in Las Vegas, Nevada.
